Dixie Carr-Heyn, PT

Dixie Carr-Heyn, PT - San Antonio, TX

"I received my Master of Physical Therapy degree in 1999 from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. I have 14 years of experience in outpatient clinical setting, evaluating and treating adults and adolescents with varied orthopedic diagnoses. I utilize manual therapy skills and patient education to achieve positive patient outcomes. In addition to addressing impairments and functional limitations, patient participation is encouraged in setting treatment goals. My clinical skills are kept up to date with regular continuing education courses."

Katie Fernandez, PT

Katie

I received my Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Biology from New Mexico State University in 2011 and my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2013.

I recently moved to San Antonio and am enjoying this great city and beautiful state. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and enjoying the wonderful life God has blessed me with.

I strive to further my clinical skills through continuing education classes in orthopedic and manual therapy. I believe that patient success in physical therapy comes from an individualized plan or care, hands-on treatment, patient involvement in goal setting, and evidence-based treatments.

Landon “Chase” Olson, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

chase Individualized, patient-centered care is my first priority. Each patient is different and deserves to be treated with a plan of care unique to their specific diagnosis and their own personal goals. Education is also a fundamental piece of the rehabilitation process. I believe a patient can only reach their full rehab potential if they are properly educated on their impairment. In a similar manner, I believe a clinician can only consistently achieve remarkable clinical outcomes if they are equally equipped with ample knowledge.

In 2007, I completed my Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Biology, Chemistry and English from Texas Tech University. In 2010, I moved on to graduate with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and soon began practicing in San Antonio. In 2016, I completed a 3 year advanced manual therapy training curriculum and received designation as a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Recently, I have begun certification through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to better understand the most efficient process in golf specific rehabilitation and performance improvement.

At home, I enjoy spending time with my wife Molly, son Owen and daughter Garland Grace (Gigi). My other interests include: attending sporting events such as baseball, football and basketball; golfing, live music and being at the lake or coast.

Testimonials

“It’s been a year since Mom’s surgery, and I wanted to send some pictures to show you how great she’s doing. In October, she went to Ft. Walton Beach, FL , with my brother and sister-in-law. She truly enjoyed herself. In December, she and I flew to Seattle, WA, to visit our cousins.
