John R. Chance, MD
“I was very active in sports and was exposed to orthopedic surgeons early on. My studies ultimately turned toward medicine and orthopaedics as a career. The ability to restore someone’s function and quality of life is the passion that drives me. I enjoy getting acquainted with each patient so I understand their concerns and expectations. This is how I can confidently diagnose and create a treatment plan, whether it’s nonsurgical or surgical.
“The military helped shape my career. I gained broad experience, which included treatment of complex sports injuries, as well as the trauma associated with a combat zone. My specialty interests include arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee, hip and knee joint replacement and fractures.”
