Bradley Kessler, MD, is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma surgery, limb salvage and amputee care. He practices at Northeast Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, with locations in Hardy Oak, Schertz, and San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Kessler specializes in Orthopaedic trauma fracture surgery including pelvic ring injuries, acetabulum fractures and peri-articular joint injuries. In addition, he has a focus in limb salvage with ring fixators and extremity amputations.
Originally from Georgia, Dr. Kessler completed a B.S. program at the University of Georgia and attended medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine after being selected for a Health Professions Scholarship for the United States Air Force. After obtaining his medical degree in 2014, Dr. Kessler attended an Orthopaedic surgery residency at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. The Air Force selected Dr. Kessler to undergo an additional subspecialty fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with a focus on complex pelvis/acetabulum fractures, periarticular joint fractures, periprosthetic fracture management and limb salvage. Upon completing his training in 2019, Dr. Kessler served at Brooke Army Medical Center, where he held various roles during his years of active duty, including Chief of the Orthopaedic Trauma and the Director of the Center for the Intrepid, where every wounded warrior soldier and amputee is stationed. He was honored with several teaching awards for graduate medical education through the orthopaedic surgery residency program.
During his tenure at BAMC, Dr. Kessler was selected as Director of the Center for the Intrepid - a multi-specialty outpatient therapy rehab center for all active duty, veteran and beneficiary patients undergoing limb salvage or amputee care. He maintained his status as the highest volume orthopaedic surgeon in the entire Department of Defense for 3 years in a row. In 2026, Dr. Kessler completed his active duty service requirement in the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Dr. Kessler enjoys a subspecialty practice that allows him to implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Additionally, he incorporates protocols and technology that facilitate rapid recovery after surgery. Outside of orthopaedics, Dr. Kessler spends time with his wife and four children. He is active in his church and school community. He enjoys watching both college football games and any level of baseball activities. He is an avid hunter.
